For my sins I live in the mountains, in the Sierra de Guadarrama near Madrid,  It’s a tough life but someone has to do it.  This blog is/will be about life here in the mountains with descriptions of what I hope are some of the best walks.

It will also cover one of my other loves, cooking and entertaining and hopefully not just a list of recipes.

Finally because I’m fast reaching the age when I am allowed to be a grumpy old sod, I’m sure the odd moan and comment will creep in.
